CITY BUILDING CODES & REQUIRED PERMITS

The City of Post Oak Bend revised Building Code took effective March 2014. A building permit is required to construct a residential structure,remodeling projects, accessory or shop building, garage, pool  and commercial structures. Contractors (electricians, plumbers,general contractors, etc) are required to be registered with the City on an annual basis starting in January and ending in December. Once building permit applications and packets are submitted to the City, they will be reviewed by Bureau Veritas, the City's plan review and inspection team. Once approved, inspections are required in the beginning of project, and at various phases of construction. Email postoakbendcity@gmail.com to request further information.

The City of Post Oak Bend has a trash collection ordinance and franchise ordinance in place. Please contact the City at postoakbendcity@gmail.com or 972-932-6015 to get an update on which companies have permits to operate in the City. The City will list those trash collection companies legally authorized to service residents shortly. If you see trash collectors operating from an unmarked pickup truck and/or with open trailer, please contact the City at 214.686.8887, and let the City know when, where and what time this took place.
